Wheel-Lift Wanch in Riyadh
ونش رفع
A wheel-lift wanch (ونش رفع) slides a hydraulic yoke under two wheels and lifts that axle clear, leaving the other axle rolling. Its low profile is the point: at 2.1 metres tall it enters underground car parks and narrow lanes where a flatbed physically cannot go.

What it loads
- Two-wheel-drive cars needing a short tow to a nearby workshop
- Cars parked in basements under Kingdom Centre, KAFD and airport terminals
- Vehicles wedged into tight kerbside spaces where a bed cannot be dropped
- Illegally parked or blocked-in cars that must be moved a short distance
What it will not take
- All-wheel drive and 4x4 — two turning wheels will damage the transfer case
- Automatics over about 20 km, where the gearbox loses lubrication
- Cars with a broken axle, hub or suspension arm on the lifted end
- Electric cars with a driven rear axle unless that axle is the one lifted
How the hydraulics do the job
- 1
The driver reverses in and extends the yoke under the front or rear wheels.
- 2
Rubber-faced claws close on the tyres — never on the bodywork or the bumper — and the ram lifts the axle about 200 mm.
- 3
A safety chain and strap go on before the truck moves, and the car is towed out at low speed to the surface.
Price
From SAR 180 including basement retrieval. No surcharge for underground levels; the ceiling height is what decides whether this truck can come at all. See the full price list.

What ceiling height does a ونش رفع need?
2.1 metres of clear height along the whole route, including ramps and the barrier arm. Riyadh basements are usually signed 2.2 or 2.4 m, which is enough. Send a photo of the height sign and we will confirm before dispatching.
Can a wheel-lift tow my 4x4 out of a basement?
Not on its wheels. For a 4x4 in a basement we bring dollies — small trolleys that go under the two rolling wheels so nothing turns — or we winch the car up the ramp to a flatbed waiting at street level.
Will the claws mark my alloy wheels?
No. The claws grip the tyre tread, not the rim, and the contact faces are rubber-lined.
How far can a wheel-lift tow a car?
We keep it under 20 km for an automatic and under 50 km for a manual. Beyond that the correct machine is a flatbed, and we will say so rather than risk your gearbox.
