Underground Parking Wanch in Riyadh
ونش مواقف تحت الأرض
An underground parking wanch (ونش مواقف تحت الأرض) is the low-profile truck for basement retrieval. At 1.9 metres it clears the barrier arms and low soffits of Riyadh's tower car parks, and it carries dollies so even a four-wheel-drive can be rolled out without a wheel turning.

What it loads
- Cars in tower basements at KAFD, Kingdom Centre and Al Faisaliah
- Vehicles left dead in airport long-term parking after a trip
- Mall basements where the ramp turns tighter than a flatbed can follow
- Four-wheel drives, using dollies under the rolling axle
- Cars blocked in by a neighbour who cannot be found
What it will not take
- Levels reached only by a car lift with a failed motor — that needs the crane wanch from above
- Basements where the barrier will not open; we need building security to grant access first
- Ceilings genuinely under 1.95 m, which do exist in a few older buildings
How the hydraulics do the job
- 1
You send a photo of the height sign at the ramp entrance and the level your car is on, and the dispatcher confirms the truck fits.
- 2
Downstairs, the low yoke lifts one axle; on an all-wheel drive, dollies go under the other two wheels so nothing rotates.
- 3
The car is drawn up the ramp at walking pace and, if the onward trip is long, transferred to a flatbed waiting at street level.
Price
From SAR 180 including basement retrieval and the transfer to a flatbed at street level where the trip needs one. See the full price list.

What height do you need to enter a basement?
1.95 metres of clear height along the whole route: the barrier, the ramp soffit and the level itself. Most Riyadh basements are signed 2.2 m or more.
How do you get a 4x4 out of a basement?
Dollies. Two small hydraulic trolleys go under the wheels that would otherwise turn, so the transfer case never sees any rotation. It adds about ten minutes and no extra cost.
Do I need to arrange access with building security?
Yes, and it is the one thing that delays these jobs. Have the parking ticket or your resident pass ready, and tell security a recovery truck is coming.
Can you reach the airport long-term car park?
Yes. Cars left dead after a long trip are one of our regular calls at King Khalid International. Bring your parking ticket, or expect to pay the lost-ticket fee at the barrier.
